Hi michaelm,

First of all let me thank you again for all of the wonderful support you are providing for this game. I can't tell you how much I look forward to seeing some of these great additions moving over from the beta patches you've been working on.

I was looking on the Strategic Map from the Japanese side and noticed that the Combined Fleet is not in the list of Headquarters at the top of the screen. Units attached to the Combined Fleet will always show on the map - there's no way to hide them. I was wondering if you could add the Combined Fleet to the list of headquarters so we can hide/show those units on the map.

Combined Fleet isn't classed as a Command HQ. It is assigned to Southern HQ.
To have it show would require it to become a top echlon HQ not reporting to anyone or its HQ type changed.

Do you know why it was made like that?

Combined Fleet did not rapport to Southern Army, but directly to the Imperial Navy High Command.
Could be for gameplay reasons to elevate 4th and 5th Fleets to command HQ to allow for easy overwiev for these two fleets.
