I was perusing all the scenarios in the scenario bank in ATG.org, and I am just wondering if anyone has some insight on the better playable ones? There are over 100 aout there, and I am sure there are a few "diamonds in the ruff?"

There sure are some really nice scenarios out there. I guess it depends on what your cup of tea is: Single-player against the AI or multiplayer? Which era? Complexity and size of map? Depending on what your preferences are it is likely some scenario and maybe some undiscovered gem might be found. This masterlist has a complete collection: tm.asp?m=2759761
Also the scenariolist allows everybody to score scenarios which gives a good first indication.

I enjoyed Italy-Greek war 1940.at2, as either side. But keep in mind I have hardly played this game. For the old AT WWII, the U.S. vs. South America was interesting.

The veterans should really speak on this.

Except for random games, none of the new scenarios for ATG caught my fancy, and the good ones are human-only. However IMHO by far the most fun scenarios for AT was WaW. You can play it in ATG, but except for the user interface and graphics, it will not have any of the new ATG features. Unfortunately so far there is no new WaW scenario playable against the AI.

You might want to go to the old AT forum and check out some of the AARs. For example the old LoTR AT scenario was fun against the AI (the ATG version does not support AI play).

Players like me (maybe the majority) who play only against the AI are a bit disappointed that there are not more ATG scenarios for solo play. But random games against the AI are much improved in ATG compared to AT, and I hve been playing them for weeks on end.

ATG hasn't really spawned a lot of scenarios. For AT I thought the ARHS mod was golden, and although it hasn't been formally disclosed, I believe a lot of the techniques developed on that mod were grafted in ATG. I was suprised at how well the Roman Era version of ARHS worked out. I also had a really good time with the Bombur mods, particularly the GD mod. But to each his own I suppose.

Frankly I'm still on the fence about ATG, It's god some good things going for it, but so far scenarios and mods are not as good IMHO.
