I've been playing the game for about two months and absolutely love it.

I love 4x games and have been playing them since there have been 4x games. MOO1 anyone?

I've got some questions that I haven't figured out yet:

1) What do the resource percentages mean on the planets? Better yet, does anyone know the equation that is used with that percentage that determines resource harvest rate?

2) I love building starbases. Love the DS9 concept. Usually find gas giants with both hydrogen and casion at the periphery of my empire. Can you upgrade/refit them once built? There is a button at the bottom of the screen to do this with a cost in credits associated with it, but it doesn't seem to do anything when you press it. When you build a starbase from one of the planet menus and it orbits with the planet, I can refit normally like space ports. I thought maybe a construction ship may be needed, but there is no option when you control-right click on the starbase.

3) When you have advisors turned on, do they act according to racial preferences? Example: Played a Boskara game and I seemed to hate everyone. The advisors kept popping up and asking me if I wanted to trade sanction or start wars with just about everyone.

Got some more that I can’t just think of right now (old age), will add them to the thread when I think of them.

Let's see

1) No one knows for sure but there are some old threads where this was estimated, if I find them I'll paste them here. And the % is the resource extraction rate

2) Only those above planets can be reffited, the deep space ones need to be scrapped / rebuild....yet. There are requests for a better procedure on this

3) I think so but not really certain as I don't use them, maybe someone who does can confirm. From what I've read here race does influence advisors
