How soon, as the Axis, do you typically begin your offensive in the Spring/Summer of 1942? What are the benefits of waiting and the consequences of attacking too soon?

The first clear turn of June is when I go for an all-out attack. The consequences of attacking to soon is mud on the next turn.

Do you mean against the AI or PBEM? There are a number of AARs that have gotten to early 1942 and are showing the start of the German 1942 offensive.

It starts with the first snow turn to fix any ral issues along the front after the blizzard.
You then reorganize for several weeks during mud.
The cycle of clear/mud is used to "prep" certain areas for future ops mainly knocking down fort levels.
You should be ready by the first clear turn of the campaign season but of course in my own game in 42 against 76mm I am a bit behind because my forces were a tad out of place due to some early success in the mud/clear cycle.
