Just playing the demo, and I am getting a weird floaty mouse effect, which really hampers my ability to control units.

I get this issue regardless of graphics setting, and on both the tutorial and novyy scenarios.

I am running on a brand new laptop w/3D card and penty of RAM. The framerate at even the highest settings is quite OK, and I am a stickler for that.

Any ideas?

Generally that is a sign of not enough computer. Doesn't sound like your problem though.

I would check for newer drivers for the mouse and graphics card. Even new stuff can have old drivers. Did the mouse come with it or is it an add on?

It also happens with the built-in trackpad (using a travel wireless mouse) so I don't think that's it.

It's a pity because I like the game, but I need to be able to control the units to buy the full version.

What setting do you have for the inverted mouse in the options? If you haven't changed that setting yet try that.

Looks like enough computer. Drivers are from 2009 and 2010.

Wait for Erik's input if you don't want to try updating drivers.

You might see if youre mouse or graphics drivers have a setting for vertical sync, or vsync. If you can find that setting, try turning it off. this has helped in some cases.

Tried updating the drivers, they are the mist recent. Oh well...
