Hi there,

I just got the game after playing the Demo for many, many times and I believe this is gonna rank up high in my "best buy" list

Anyway, during the day, I have a job so can't fire up BftB - however, I could spend some time now and then looking at maps, spotting good locations for artillery, working out tactical plans etc.

Is there anyway to convert mapfiles to jpgs or something, so I can print them?

I like your approach.. Understand it, and I am happy to see someone taking bftb game matrix deep enough, as it deserves - Delight in detail makin more room for the thing called ´creative imagination´.
(There are diffrent types of percepting the game as you know it, some are just rolling the scenarios faster-harder-give me more! type, simply just eating it.. )
and after a week or two, their expecting new scenarios, thinking, that theyve pulled out all from the game . Dont know wich approach is better really.. but I gues this particular one is just beyond my comprehation.

I cannot give you the diret program (had also looked for it recently). I use simple screenHunter , with the option to photograph the aera, wich giving you the option to make huge maps parted by sectors - with all the zoom-in shots etc. YOu will have more than one print in hand, but you will have all detailed, and the terrain of battle closed in the sector.

The best way is probably to open the map in the mapmaker, then take a screenschot, crop it, and save it as jpeg. If you want to zoom in, you will need more than one screenshot to cover the entire map.

If you are going to do that, you might also want to experiment with lower colour versions of the terrain, especially the height layers. The current brown/green layering might look a little muddy and burn through a whole heap of ink-cartridges.

I take screen shots and put them on my website, then I can look at them at work

Download the google battlefield tour and then just extract the map images from the kmz file. One way to do this is to change the .kmz extension to .zip and open it by double-clicking. All the images are in the files folder.
