I wish I knew how to create a poll, but I don't. So, just reply instead.

What are you playing and why?

Myself - Force60 (old habits are hard to break)

40:40
It seem less giving orders to the time of a metronome and more like a variable length bound where orders are changed because the situation changes.

40:40 but it's not like I do something every reaction phase. 60 seconds seems so long now.

40:40.
As junk2drive said: 60 seconds seems like a long time now after experiencing 40:40.

He he he ... I am going to turn out to be the one player who they added this option for! Well, thanks, anyway!

I think it is fine if people new to the system play at 60 but hope that they will someday give the 40:40 enough play to learn the nuances and what you can do or not do during the reaction phase. It is different and foreign to most people but it should be a learning experience just like the UI and rules of the game.

40:40 because it feels right to me with the platoon orders system.

40:40, in my opinion the best compromise.

40:40 The reaction time break has save me quite a few times already.

I use force 60. I find the 40 40 cycle interrupts the flow of the game for me. The very good thing is that we have choice. The more choice the better. I will probably try the 40 40 sequence again. perhaps I will find it different.

I actually hated 40:40 when I first came across it and detested the reaction phase. But once I got to grips with it and saw it in play, I couldn't go back to 60 sec turns.

40:40 for me. I've played the Force 60 a few times mainly for testing. The 40:40 just feels right to me.

Thanks

40:0 random battles. I like 40 second turns without reaction phase myself and that's all I'll play now.

The coolest thing with PCO is that we all get to choose the mode that we most like [:)]

40:40.

I still have a hard time adjusting to it. It's hard trying to get up to speed on a game that is on it's 3rd update and not knowing the correct keys or orders to perform. There are lots of unknowns for me  - still [&:]
I just haven't found the place where I feel I am "in the game and fighting with my troops". I still feel very detached. [:@]

But I am still plugging away. [:)] It's all me and not the game.

Poll results ... so what! I don't care if you are all playing 40:40, I am going to continue with Force:60.

Hmm ... I wonder why the developers put it in given that no one is using it? Was it Bil Hardenberger (beta tester)? I remember he didn't like the Reaction Phase and was fairly vocal for a while. He convinced me to sign up as a beta as well, but I never contributed anything ... well, at least, I got my Force:60. :)
