It has been mentioned before, but there is a difficulty of acquiring models. I have collected some models and posted them. Feel free to download them and create your own mod.....it's really easy to create a simple mod containing the ships and factions.

Wow, one of the threads is somewhat old but the other one is recent. Didn't catch either of them, the images look cool. Good work spotting them Simulation01.
