Is there any way to extract a map from a scenario and use it in another scenario?

Well as far as I know there is no export/import map button.
You might however try the following: Take the scenario with the map to start with and erase everything you do not want to take over (SFTs, events, cards, etc). This is very quick and lets you start with basically a map only. Then you can import SFTs and events from another scenario.
Would this approach help in your case?

Maybe, I haven't tried erasing stuff, but there seems to be a lot. I'll try I guess.

No, I don't think its feasible to erase everything. There are hundreds of units all over the place, I can't even figure out how to delete one.

Erasing is pretty quick and straightforward.
You can erase individual units if you select the unit menue in the top selection area. However another easier option might be to erase all regimes which wil also erase all units on the map. If you want the regimes to stay then the easiest way might be with an editor event using one of the commands execremoveunits or execremüveunit. If you need specifics we can provide a quick script...

Heh I tried that on the WaW map, it crashed the editor when I tried to delete the German regime. It worked the second time I tried though.

Yah tried it with v2.04 and works but takes some patience...
Alternatively you can use the execs above and an editor event...
