Can one set the amount of turns a scenario will play. If so how do I set it?

In PCK there was a field for a turn limit. It appears this has been eliminated.

No

You can force a defeat by setting a defender bonus at x turn with a high amount of points.

Yes, but not in the normal fashion and a scenario could still end before the specified turn.

To end a scenario on a specific turn you would give one side a large bonus on that turn. If the game wasn't already over it would end then. This would also give the side that got the bonus the victory. This is not like the scenario ending on turn 20 and the score is what it is.

PCO doesn't have that option yet.

For all intents and purposes PCO uses variable ending.

***Edit***
And there you have it. Two different views of the same subject with the same ending answer.

Good Hunting.

Conversely you can tell the player that they have to take a high point flag by turn x when the bonus kicks in.

Baseball has innings, football the clock, chess and PCO just go until someone wins.

Actually I just edited my message to say that it was available in PCK. Why eliminate that option?

I just looked at the PCK scenario editor and that turn limit is the same as the defender bonus turn.
