I find the large scenario's kind of overwhelming as I am learning the game.Any smaller ones like the demo? Thanks.

The bootcamp campaign scenarios are pretty small. And there are videos to show you what to do if you have trouble.

I would second the recommendation for the Bootcamp scenarios. Been walking through them again trying to pick up stuff I missed earlier.

Just noticed that you are the "Double Deuce" that makes the very nice WinSPMBT scenarios

I am a PC newbie and went back to the smaller scenarios to try to learn the ins and out of the PC commands.

I started a random campaign, the amount of units is small so far.The Soviet ai is not too bright,I caught 7 of their tanks in the open.I placed mine at the edge of woods with a clear los,but dont think they saw me.After destroying them I spent the rest of the battle mowing down the endless barrage of rifle sections charging my armour.Pretty easy.

That's kinda what all the German generals said early in the war.

Thanks. With some luck and some learning I'm hoping to do some for PCO as well.

Yep. If you want to see a good example of dumb AI, pick up a history book. Plenty of examples there.

Hi Bairdlander,

There are quite a few scenarios that have similar size and unit density as the demo scenarios. The map size and scenario complexity ratings in the set battles menu are the best way to browse and find ones that best fit your preferences. You can also generate small random battles on any map and for any date in the Eastern Front timeframe.

Regards,

- Erik

I'm not so sure its a dumb AI so much as the AI implementing Soviet doctrine. Try playing the Soviets and you will not see the Germans doing the same kind of things. Also I think the AI has the same restrictions a Human player encounters when playing to Soviets (lack of immediate response to your commands). Command and Control is a nightmare for them, as it was in RL.

As J2D said, when you think you can play PCO well then play the Russian side. [:-]

Good Hunting.
