According to Erik Rutins CodeForce have begun work on a new expansion for Distant Worlds.

I was wondering what the name would be.

Personally I am not fond of long barrelled names such as :-

Distant Worlds Return of the Shakturi,
Armada 2526 Supernova
Sins of a Solar Empire
War in the Pacific Admirals Edition
The Operational Art of War

etc etc

Look at the movies, most sequels were numbered

Police Academy 1 - 5plus
Beverley Hills Cop 1,2 etc
and so on

The various Star Trek's were simply named

Star Trek (Original)
Next Generation
Voyager
and so on

Now don't pick my general knowledge apart, as I'm not a film/space sci-fi geek.

So what would you dear forum poster and lurkers like for a name for the future expansion?

Even though I made this post, I have no name ideas myself. It might be difficult to have DW3 now that DWROTS was the sequels name.

Perhaps if there are enough good names posted into this thread, the forums "King of the Polls" Igard could make a poll. Not that I'm demanding it![;)]

Or maybe I'm being too optimistic...

Anyway, anybody got a good name for the future expansion?

- Distant Worlds: Knowledge of the past.
Points to ancient techs and information before the first shakturi conflict that are now being found and researched.

- Distant Worlds: Keepers/Protectors of balance.
Just from top of my head.

Distant Worlds: Times of Progression.
New techs, stuff and all that.

well heres one I just thought of ,
Distant worlds : attack of the dominators LOL
I'm ofcourse thinking about space rangers at the moment so had to drop that one in.
the story line would ofcourse be that after taking over the galaxy where space rangers live that they have managed to cross over in the distant worlds universe and are looking for some extra space
