New to CCMT - need help

EDIT: No need to reply to this thread, as I found the answers on the CC:LSA forum.
Hi There,
I'm new to this game. I bought it because I heard good things about its custom scenario editor. But I'm having some problems and am requesting help. Here goes:
1. In the Battle Group screen (where you select units for custom scenarios), there appear to be 5 possible BGs (numbered 1--5), each with 15 slots for teams. How does this work? So far, I have been unable to work this out (and I could find no relevant info in the manual). I have been able to put teams into BG no. 1, but if I then select BG no. 2 and add units, they do not show up ingame. To recap: the BG screen seemingly has 5 BG options for both sides--is this correct? Could someone explain why there are 5 BG slots and how to use this feature?
2. So far, in custom scenarios, I have been unable to get the AI to fight. For example, I select a village map, put a VL at one end, give BLUFOR a puny BG and deploy it near the VL, give OPFOR a massive BG (including armour) and deploy it at the opposite end to BLUFOR, set a time limit of ten minutes, then play the game as BLUFOR. Basically, what happens is that I sit watching the screen for ten minutes--nothing happens--then I win on default without a shot being fired. And so I swap roles and make BLUFOR the attacker. My guys advance up the map, capture the VL and I win without any fighting. What am I doing wrong? Is there a best practice guide to setting up a custom scenario? Sometimes, when OPFOR units become visible, I notice that they just bimble about without, seemingly, any real purpose.
3. How can you best deploy OPFOR to help them with pathfinding? In one custom scenario, I gave OPFOR a tank. When I played the game, the tank drove straight into the sea, found itself blocked, and just went round in circles. In another custom scenario, one of my guys got slotted by an enemy sniper who had taken cover . . . in the sea!
4. In the Force Pool there are some units whose labels begin with C- or M- or U-, but what does this mean? I can easily identify US and UK units, but I'm not sure what differentiates the C-, M-, U- units.
5. There are a lot of weapons in the game but no specs ingame or in the manual, so how do you know which weapons to use in a given scenario? I mean, are all the weapons modelled on real life, so the various AT systems or sniper rifles etc. have unique properties? Is there any info available on featured weapons?
Many thanks in advance for help, and sorry if I've mised anything obvious! I'm hoping someone might help me out because I paid over £20 for this game . . .
