Hello.

As I mentionned in this thread, I would like to know if you planned to translate the game in other languages ?

The game is in English and some foreign players would benefit a lot from a translation in other languages, this could attract more players if they could play Distant Worlds in their own languages.




If there's no official plan to support other languages, I am volonteer to translate the game in french.

Maybe, with the help of other french players, we could create a "team" and try to translate at least, all sentenses.

This could be a good start, since (I am not sure, I can be wrong) some parts of the GUI seem to be images containing english words).

But for stories and missions details, it seems we would "just" have to translate all .mht files in the /Help folder and all .txt files in the /Dialog one.

Let's hope this suggestion will be taken into consideration.
In the meantime, I'll try to translate all texts by myself.

I don't about French, but there was a German version being tested earlier this year.

You might want to drop Erik a line to see if they have an interest in a French version.

That german version exists now so it's likely that a french one will be considered by Elliot as well.

I think they should translate the expansion in German as fast as possible^^ cause i want to get it... its quite boring to play without the expansion if you know that you could play a "better" addon.
