RobW (ANZAC) VS. VIKING2 (CANADA)

First turn, not much we both throw Arty at our best guess of where each other may be.

I move foward with scouts and other recon, I get a shot at a M4 and kill it, I also get a kill on a halftrack at long range, for now hiding and looking. Turn two is in his court

Suprised by loss of 1 Sherman and the half track. Movement into some trees lost me 2 halftracks and a Sherman to Airborne troops. Managed to rout one and engage the other. Also destroyed a Greyhound and an obeservation vehicle.

Lets see what round 3 brings but I can tell I am fairing worse in the earlier exchanges!

I killed 4 Shermans this turn, and a couple of halftracks, I also kill a commando squad, he is sweeping in from the north, with halftracks and some tanks

RobW, continues his advance in the north, I rush AA tanks to the area heavey fighting is occuring with light armor, halftracks and AA tanks. Most of it at point blank ranges.

I the middle he has taken some of the center hexes, I kill another M4, and some halftracks


Its back to him now

Still in the balance - some sneaky comandos seem to be in my rear but am making some headway in the North. Need to get some peace and quiet somewhere to allow me to regroup!!!

I kill a SP Mortor, with a AA tank , I have captured all his rear hexes, and killed a big mortor. Recapture all but one Vhexs in the center. He still has at least three Tanks (Shermans) and a light tank are coming in from the north and several Shermans in the center.

still feeling the pressure - think the north is turning but the south is really a mess. Hope to damage him to give me a slightly better chance

I lost a AA tank to a Sherman, I killed two Shermans, a Loyd Carrier, and a Staghound. there is still two shermans in the middle and his Arty did some damage that turn, there is also deffintly one possible two shermans in the north.

managed to regain rear hexes and still holding the north. Think things may be decided in the next couple of turns. Mainly infantry casuatlies this turn but I lost 1 halftrack during the fighting for the rear

Not much to report that time got some infantry, I'm looking for his tanks

I found two more tanks I just don't knoe what to do with them now:rolleyes:

well, that was a good turn! At least 1 of his units surrendered and 1 was dispersed. Some stupid tanker decided to drive into the open and got his nice shiney "never been used" Sherman blown up - doh!

And now he's finding units he'd forgotten about - oh goodie!

Killed some Infantry, and one of my planes got a Halftrack, not much else

ok, things are a bit quiter - mainly cos I aint got any forces left Small action in the centre - routed one of his units. Found 1 of his Shermans in the south at the expense of 1 lot of crew men! I feel my rear has been infiltrated to heavily for me to rescue but I guess we shall have to see!

I killed a AT gun this turn and some Infantry, I also found two mortars shot one up pretty badly next turn I'll get the other one next turn. One of his Scout teams got lost beep behind my lines, I sent them home in a box:rolleyes:

yeah, well, easy come easy go cobber! I like that he never mentioned my excellent slaughter of an observation jeep!

Not much happened this turn - my engineers can't dislodge his airborne units but he seems to have moved out of the healthy real estate in the centre!

Killed a 6pound AT and wiped out some Infantry, retook a hex in the center, and killed the Infantry AT that took it, ran in to another one of his recon squads behind my line, this time I place a note in the box I send them home in asking please don't send any more, My tank crew can't sleep at night they keep dreaming of Aussie body parts flying through the air as they blast them at point blank range :rolleyes:

I'm hunting down, crews and small squads now, trun 20 should be close.

I haven't heard anything from RobW in a while, TT how long should I wait?
