I have downloaded and installed the latest public beta. On a whim I hit the "check for update" button on the main screen. It says there is an update available. Do I trust it, or will it 'update' me back to the older version (pre-beta)?

If you have the public beta installed, do NOT listen to the "Check for Updates" button. The beta unfortunately causes that some issues.
