I have one real big Problem with Panzer Corps. Every order for a Unit and every move from this Unit takes real long time. The execution of an order sometimes needs 20 or more seconds. [>:]

In this way the Game is unplayable. What can I do about it ? My Operating System ist Windows 7 64bit, My PC is an Acer Aspire 8920G with 4 GB RAM Corel 2 Duo processor T5750 with 2,0 Ghz, and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 Grafic Card.

Can anybody help me ?! [&:]

Hi Celtic2405,

Can you go into more detail on when exactly this delay happens?

Could you also post a DxDiag for us please?

Regards,

- Erik

Are you running on a laptop? If so, then if you have any automatic CPU software running (something which speeds up and slows down your machine automatically to save power) then you could try setting it to it's max or turbo mode before starting the game. Sometimes these automatic utilities don't update themselves when running games and can cause the game to think it's running at a different speed than it actually is.

Just a thought.

Cheers

Pip

Looks like there is some problem with sound effects. Could you please try to go to the game's install folder and rename Audio folder to _Audio? This will effectively disable all sounds, and I wonder if this will help with the problem you are experiencing?

Hi Celtic2405!

I'm investigating what I could do to help you, stay tuned. In the mean time, it might be well worth it to experiment with codecs on your PC. The game uses MCI mpegvideo device for its sound output. Clearly it does not work for you, but it works for 99% of folks out there. So, some problem in codec department is likely.

I would convert all the wav to mp3 and see what happened.
I know it's 200 files but you can do it very quickly with foobar2000. You can add multiple files to the play list, select all in the playlist inside foobar2000 and with right mouse button convert to mp3. He'l do it in batch. In 5 minutes is ready. Removed the original files from and left only the converted.
It's no harm to try.

Hi VPaulus,

it seemed a good Idea and gave me real hope - but it didnt help to convert all wav to mp3. [:-]

Again in the log.txt you can read:

Version 1.00 (Jul 4 2011)
WINDOWS VERSION: 6.1.7600. Platform ID: 2. CSDVersion:
mciSendString(close Voice/tutorial1A) failed.
Error: 'Gerät ist nicht geöffnet oder wird vom MCI nicht erkannt.' (code: 263)

Its a problem with the mciSendString... something can not be opened or can not be detected by MCI ??!?! F... !!!! [:@]

Another Pro here with a good Idea ????? Pls !! [&o]

You could download and install the last drivers of your sound card.

Did you try to experiment with various compatibility settings (in particular run the program in Windows XP compatibility mode)? If not, it is well worth a try.

Also, could you please check with Registry Editor and post here what entries you have in the following keys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\MCI
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\MCI32

?
