Small Rant

Its been well discussed that changes to the data base will not effect a current game. I know its to prevent cheating during a PBEM game.

My gripe is, why can't there be a switch that allows corrections to a player made data base work when your playing against the AI. I spent the last couple of months working on my own mod and 14 turns into the game I just found a rather game breaking oops. Seems I transposed some numbers in the DB. It was easy enough to fix but it won't correct the problem in the game I am playing.

Ok, I feel a little better but in the name of all that's holy I would love a way to get around the "anti-cheater" protection in very specific instances.

Some data can be changed in a current game. Otherwise you wouldn't get the meaasge about 'do you want to update data'.[:D]

But it is limited as you don't want to rollback changing numbers (like exp or delays)
