Turn 1
Fairly standard opening. No forces are diverted from AGC, indeed some troops from AGN and AGS help cover the flanks of AGC.

That Lvov pocket looks a bit weakish. The Soviets can probably break it just by moving. It all depends on how many MPs they have, but it looks like they could break it easily. I would have spread out the panzers more and perhaps divided up some of them into regiments.

Not a fan of the open in AGN. While it is desirable to get the path cleared out, by routing all the troops out, you give the Russians the pieces to put in place to delay your advance over the next turn or two. Some routing is going to happen, but knocking out as much of those troops is desirable in order to leave the Russians with as few pieces as possible to block your further advance.
Tarhunnas is right and on top of that, I would not be surprised to see several of your panzer divisions put out of supply after the Russian move.
Overall not terrible and will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I agree with Klydon. I see 10 or so routed Soviet units that will be a pain for you in the next few turns.
Its a guessing game which will slow you down more a few extra points in ZOC costs turn 2 or dealing with rallied routers. My personal choice is to surround and kill everyone.
Your start is not bad just a giving my 2cents.

Yeah, totally agree about the routed units. These are like gold for the Soviet player at a time that he is really struggling to build a solid line.Probably at least half of them will rally and come back to haunt you next turn. The Lvov pocket looks marginal, I wouldn't want to call it one way or the other.

The idea in the north was to allow the infantry to advance as much as possible on turn 2. I suppose I'll have to learn the hard way when I have to fight all those units again.
In the south the Lvov pocket should hold. The Soviets simply don't have enough movement to open it.

Nice start. Looks like you held the southern pocket and are making good ground in the center and north. It might be better to go around behind Pskov or wait under inf comes up to smash through river line. Not sure what people think is best. Doesn't look like you're sending more mobile help south? I usually send some of AG centers tanks to assist in the push to Kiev and beyond. But an all out push towards Moscow is not a bad idea as well as it should unhinge the south eventually.

I actually use troops from AGN and AGS to help the flanks of AGC. In my opinion AGC is the most important. Once it's across the rivers it can unhinge the south or go for Moscow or something else. AGN and AGS usually run into prepared positions (Leningrad and the rivers).

Did jzadros move the factories from Monglev? If not, I believe you got them destroyed because he can't rail them out with a ZOC on the hex. How much movement did your panzers have after you freed them up? You're lucky he didn't have the forces to trapped them more securely. In a game a while back, when I was a complete noob, I lost 2 panzer divs because I ran too deep and got cut off. There was no inf close enough to free them [:(]
The south is always tough (maybe just for me?), but once your inf catches up, you can start pushing to Kiev.
How do others deal with the historically stacked Western Front? Diverting most of Pz Grp #2 south?

I'm not sure about the factories. I prefer to as much as possible not worry about them - preferably finding a weak spot in the defenses and pushing through there.
From what I can tell from the AARs, many (most?) German players reinforce AGS from AGC. I prefer a strong push in the center.

The motorized division was completely stuck, but the panzer had quite a few moves left. It's uncharacteristic of me to risk getting cut off, but this was turn 2 after all.
