Nice review. My only issue with it is your statement that hexes equal approximately 100 miles. This would make the maps large enough to encompass several European countries! The actual scale, according to the developers, is about 15km per hex.

I'm not so sure. 100 m maybe too big, but, when I look at Norway, 15KM seems a bit small. I think they vary from scenario to scenario.

Yes they vary, and yes, in Norway hex size is about 25 km. 15 is an average number useful for reference purposes, but it is by no means precise.
