Can someone please tell me if in blizzard turns 1941 when I move a German unit I get a message "unit took attrition losses", the number of squads and equipment decreases and the losses show in the report at the end of the turn??
I could have sworn this was the case, but somehow none of this happens anymore.

I think that was changed somewhere, but i am not sure about it.
So much was changed so often, i didn`t look through it anymore what rules are now in effect. In the next Version it will be all different again.

In a pbem game with Josan have been moving Axis
units in Blizzard. 'Plot' and 'Move' orders up to
two hexes seems to cause no losses. However 'Move'
orders to Units with Vehicles of 3 hexes or more
still causes attrition losses to vehicles/Afv's
but i dont think the message about such shows up.

(PS. I think if you can ask the question 'Am i going crazy' then you are OK. It's people who think they are sane that must be kept at a distance with a sharp stick)

Loki,
I like your signature. Are you an avid reader of TS Eliotor of Iain M Banks or both?

Sorry, but I have to ask again.
I have made tests with V3.2, V3.101 and V3.0x, and in all three versions I could move my German units at will through the blizzard without losing one squad or tank.
Are my files corrupt somehow? Or is there really no movement penalty in all these versions (would be strange because as far as I know the Germans already lose 2% of their squads when standing still, so I think it makes a lot of sense to punish them for moving through a blizzard)?

I am not a avid reader of Elliot but i've read a lot of Banks.(and just about every SF writer there is) Yes the quote comes from the book.
I've been thinking of changing my Username from
LokioftheAesir (Thats from Attanasio's work
'Last Legends of Earth') to the main character
of 'Consider Phlebas'
I dont think 'Bora Horza Gobuchul' would fit in the box
My bent is stuff like 'Dover Beach' (arnold)
Funny but i think Elliot/Yeats/Arnold and so many
others stand head and shoulders above contemporary work. But in the field of fiction the 'old classics' have been left far behind. (well, most of them)

PS. If any of you out there want to read a really good SF story centered on WW2 then look around for a book called 'The Proteus Operation' by the Author James P Hogan.
From back cover....
It's 1974 - and the iron fist of Fascism has subjugated Europe and the whole world, except for North America and Australia. Democracy has only one last hope.... The Proteus Operation.
