Mouse won't autoscroll down - it autoscrolls left, right and up - just not down. A bit weird - is it something to do with the windows 7 toolbar perhaps??

Possibly a dumb suggestion:

Can you dock (temporarily) the taskbar on the top/right edge?

If you do this does it prevent the scrolling to that direction, or is 'down' still blocked?

The obvious question - there is map 'south' of the current view to scroll to?, I won't even ask...

If you have multiple monitors running then the auto scroll won't run on the edge that abutts the other monitor. Eg ifyou are running the game on the left monitor and you hvae a second on the right, then the autoscroll will not work on the right map edge. However, I doubt you have your second monitor configured to be below your first.
