Bob is quite the sporting chap, seeing that something was definately unfare and running amoke in our previous PBEM wc battle attempt he has offered a retry. He has updated his OOB's to 7.1x and changed the time to mid 1941. A real sportsman and a gentlemen. I hope my battle attempts make the battle worth redoing.:p

Golf clap for Fabio-hey Fabio maybe you could kill off a couple of your 88's in our game, that would make our game a little more fair too.

When all of your Shermans get destroyed at 1000 meters+ on the first shot by anything larger than a rifle bore something is definately wrong. Gary you've got your hands full, as Fabio could probably do as well with spit wads.
Turn 2

US forces are rolling forward with many tanks and some halftrack full of soldiers.
My recons are forced to retreat but my gunners are quick to respond: four tanks (Stuarts I think), one halftrack and a truck mounting a 37mm gun are burning.
I hope that another tank and an halftrack are damaged.
I call also an arty strike on the advancing foes...

I hope not, I'm trying to test the waters and it appears the waters are filled with piranaha's.

My engineers and some AT-Gun are overrun by enemy tanks and halftracks, one recon armor trying to escape was hit.
My tanks enter in action to slow the enemy advance, 3 tank and one halftrack destroyed.

Combined with his disappearing act, it's becoming a big problem especially when US armor appears to be made from paper. The only thing running from me are foot soldiers and I thinks thats just because the dinner bells are chiming.

A moral victory, I scared a crew out of there wits causing one to die of a heart attack because I managed to actually get next to him without getting destroyed.. Trying to stay mobile enough to keep him guessing but with his unique style of shooting with ATG's and moving I always get caught with my pants down.

US forces are next to the last VH, I'm trying of stopping them with AT-Guns but I have a lack of tanks.

Captured the last of the VH's but knowing of Bob's reputation I don't think I will be controlling all of them for much longer. Game is put on hold until around 10 Aug when Bob returns from a vacation in France. Enjoy.

Double B has returned from his small vacation, and we have started the battle back up again. Both of us are jockeying for posistion to gain the advantage to holding the VH's at games end.

This is a hard battle, there are many US tanks lurking around...
I take again the east VH and my 50mm AT-gun had a good shot taking out the Stuart watching it.

Retook some of those VH's but ever turn seems to unleash German Armor clones, just when I eliminate one, 2 more appear. This will go down to the last foot soldier standing I'm afraid. At the current rate I surely seeing this end in a draw but the point total is still left to be determined.

Meanwhile US tanks are charging my 2nd line defences, my tanks accomplished their pincer move capturing two lighty defended 1st line VH.
AT crews surviving from the initial US charge, comes back to their guns and two more US tank are gone...
The battle continue...

My troops are clearing the VH area from US infantry. I've two of the three middle VH meanwhile US keep my rear VH.
It was a battle to the last man, I think that US still have about 6 tanks rolling behind my lines...

A good turn for me no losses, destroyed 2 ATG's, bicycle squad and sent a cavalry galloping to the hills. Still own the expensive VH's behind enemy lines.
