Hi!

I'm looking for a serious WWII grand strategy game, with the purpose of playing against the AI. I cannot decide between Commander at War Europe with the Grand Strategy 2 expansion and Time of Wrath. Both games seem to have undergone extensive changes since their release. How do they compare? What game is the most "grongnardly"? What game has the best non cheating AI?

I think I would hold off and see how Time of Fury turns out, but if you have an itch that needs to be scratched now, I would recommend CAWE with the expansion pack....

Arsenal of Democracy is better than both those games combined.

Really? Is the AI challenging? I remember that in HoI II I regularly managed to crush the USSR easily. I assume this is not the case with AoD?

No it is not.AoD is HOI2 but made by experianced modders.It is much more challenging than HOI2 and for $14 its a bargain price.
