Air Attack issue

In one of my Multiplayer games I am unable to attack air units. The fighter unit has no attack symbol and the anti air units could move but could not attack. Any suggestions will be pretty welcome.

You can't attack planes or attack with planes when it raining or snowing. Click on the weather symbol and you'll get the weather effects.

OK, thank you. I didn't know that. In the manual there is no hint about that anti air units does not fire when raining.

"and they attack with only half of their strength"

Manual? Who reads that thing! [:)] For your fighters sake I hope you get 1st move when the weather is clear. If not it looks like it is toast!

Sorry, I didn't know any former Panzer General. So I need some information about weather. The manual seems not that accurate as a newbie needs it.[8D]

btw. Never mind about my fighter. My ground troops are holding the key positions and that counts.

weather;
*clear -> this is the optimal weather, it can dry up the ground if it is mudddy or frozen, all operate at full capacity
*overcast -> spotting is reduced
*rain -> aerial units cannot attack nor be attacked, chance to turn the ground into mud
*snow -> aerial units cannot attack nor be attacked, chance to turn the ground into frozen
*muddy ground -> movement is slowed for all ground units and fuel consumption increased
*frozen ground -> rivers and lakes freeze and can be moved across
