I am back, after my computer crashed and had to fix it. Before I fixed my computer I forgot to back up my info, and lost everything.

After a few months I finally found my back up copy of Distant World (thank god I did that. ) After a few brain farts, I finally found the forums again. So here I am reintroducing my self again. I have played DW so much when it was released I love this game. So now I am reinstalling the game as I type.

So I have a few questions that I can't remember.

How do we take screen shots again? I can't remember if it is the key pad or not. What folder are they in? I remember they were in a different folder (same for the saved games) and I can't remember where they are located. Can anyone tell me how to find them again?

Also what is new? I see a new expansion coming out, that is great that DW is still doing great. So any new mods that are must have? Never played with them so I am wondering if I am missing anything there.

So what did I miss in the last few months? Is there a Strategy guide out yet? Maybe a wiki? Going to start and reread the manual again.

I am excited, it will be like playing for the first time all over again, the magic is reborn. [&o]

0 on the Keypad does the Screenshot, they'll be in the folder next to your Save game files.
For XP, they'll be under Documents & Setting->username->Application Data (I believe) and the CodeForce directory.

On the subject of mods, not alot has happened. You can try out some of my ST mods if they take your fancy. I've churned out a couple I think since last you were here. Also, there's WoodMan's Diverse Worlds, which makes the ships alot more interesting, but still keeping with the DW style. There are a few more good ones. Take a glance at the mods compendium thread to see more.

As for strategy guides, only what's in the war room and AAR forums.

EDIT: Oh, yes and big things will be happening in the way of modding for the new expansion. Erik's got us all really anxious to find out what new stuff we can play with.
