Hello
I can not give you a step by step way to change things. But I can give you some links where you can read about it. I think there you will find your information:
1.) WitE Editor Manual DRAFT v0.1 from bcgames:
look here:
tm.asp?m=2874235
2.) An example how to make new units from Helpless:
look here:
tm.asp?m=2639590
3.) A very nice thread about Scenario Design as an AAR from bcgames:
look here:
tm.asp?m=2894384
(right now he does not made any units...but hopefully in 1-2 weeks you can read how he makes some (also with tanks))
Hope it helps,
Omat
P.S.: First link was wrong.

Hello.
First: if you do this you cant play the normal scenarios because you are going to change the generic data. So maybe a second installation of WitE is necessary.
If you do this you do it on your own risk.
1.) Make a back up from ../Gary Grigsby`s War in the East/dat
wrac.dat
wrair.dat
wrdevice.dat
wrleader.dat
wrobdat.dat
2.) Start the game, go to the editor load generic data. click on "Ground Elem". Go to ID Number (left)0025. It`s the Tiger. Look left and click on "First year" and change it to 1941.
Save the generic data.
3.) "Load scenario": 1944-45 Campaign to edit it. Now you see the map. go to the admistration Tab and click on "Quit and exit to Main Menue" (see 5.1.2.4 WITE-Manual)
4.) Click on Scenario Name: rename it to Gunhoir-Tigers
5.) Click "unit" and on the right go to unit number 1406 click on it, change left the "delay" to 0. Do this witch unit 1407-1419
6.) Save the scenario
7.) close the editor
8.) Now you can start your scenario. You have units with Tigers and producing Tigers.
Hope it helps...
Omat
