Uncommon Valor v1.20 Online! Instructions and Info...

The official Uncommon Valor 1.20 Patch is now online! Please note that all future support questions and responses will depend on you having this patch installed properly first. In order to download and install this patch, please follow the below instructions:
1. In your Uncommon Valor program folder (should be in Start -> Program Files), find the icon labeled "True Update" and left click on it.
2. Click on next to check for a new patch. It will find the patch and report a size. Go ahead and download the patch.
3. When the download is finished, the patch will open an installer in its own windows. If you installed UV in the default directory, you can just keep clicking next until everything is updated. Otherwise, point it to the directory you installed UV in, then let it install the patch.
4. Close things up when you're done. If you installed the patch correctly, running True Update again will tell you that there are no newer versions of UV available than the one you now have.
5. Run UV 1.20 and enjoy!
Note that you can also download v1.20 via FTP through our Downloads page.
A full list of the patch changes can be found in a new UV Patch v1.20 PDF file in your UV program folder post-patch. This can also be found in your main UV directory. For your convenience, the list is reproduced in full below.
Old saves and PBEM games _will work_ with UV 1.20 provided all players update at the same time.
Note that we are already at work on the next patch. If you don't see your personal issue addressed here, don't worry.

and thanks for your support of this game and the genre. Personally, I have been intrigued by the entire game thus far, and if this is but a precurser to the WitP game coming later - I will have to take up residence in the tool shed with a secret line to there from the house for the computer.

Tried stuff, and noticed this:
Fast Transport TFs can still "click and load" troops until all are aboard, and they spend NO Op points loading troops.
For other Transport TFs, it works as advertised.

This appears to be a really fine response to things people have been asking for.
The most irritating problem left in the game that I don't see addressed yet is the hard-wired ports - those that if you capture form up your anchored ships into TFs automatically and send them "home" to the enemy's base.
900% complete

When I loaded an ongoing Clash of Titans game into 1.2, it showed the airfield I had been working on at Lea Lea as 900% complete.
I must say as the invading U.S. playing, I had thought the completion of airfield long overdue and that I had constructed more on the incomplete airfield than on the Level 1 port I had built.

Not sure what's going on there, but it may be a glitch across versions. I would suggest trying to cancel the construction, then start it up again next turn to see if that gets things on the right track. Glad the new indicator was helpful.

Mike was kind enough to respond quickly to my concerns regarding your post with the following. I think he's correct. Can you see any way that we've missed in which this is actually an advantage?

Thanks. As far as fast transport goes, they would finish loading as soon as resolution occurred and they can only carry troops for one turns loading. In other words, no advantage to the player, as far as I can see. Operational points are spent by these at time of resolution, not during the orders phase. I think any one trying to cheat in this fashion is wasting his time.

I dunno.
I fired up Scen 7 as the Japs, formed a Fast Transport TF out of all the surface ships in Rabaul, loaded them with troops. They left port immediatelly (staying one nights movement away from Gili Gili, as it should) and landed all the troops on the next night turn.
It just looks strange that these troops can board and not take up any of the ships' time, which is what I thought OP points were for.
We shall soon see if this is exploitable
For example, I wonder what would happen if I chose Do Not Retire; would they get ther in the same day?

My understanding of Fast Transport missions is that you spend no time loading and no time unloading. That's the way it's always been as far as I know, and the way it was intended (right or wrong), so this is not a cheat/bug, just an advantage for the FT mission.
As for Lea Lea, I'm just guessing, but since it is a level 0 SPS trying to go to level 1, this takes 10 times as long as normal. It is possible that the percentage code is not accounting for this exception and so it needs to get to 1000% before it will be considered completed. The visible percent completion code will bring up some issues now that we can actually see what is going on. No doubt some of the issues will just be confusing but explainable (like I hope this one is), but there may be real issues that surface.

The reason I asked where Lea Lea was is to find out if it is a (0) airfield base. I know Rennell Island is. My guess is that this represents the 10x longer build time for an airbase on a (0) airfield hex. But I don't know if Lea Lea is a (0) airfield, since I don't know where it is.
