Faster Constructors

Searched for this but couldnt find anything.
So, to make a constructor faster at repairing and building stuff do i add more construction yards or plants? I am guessing the second but not sure![:D]

Good question. I think multiple construction yards/plants only matter on space ports (EDIT: And construction ships when building space stations) so they can build multiple ships at once. What I know, the repair speed is capped, so multiple construction yards/plants should not affect it. Overall repair time depends on the amount of damaged components and their tech level.
Not 100% sure, but this is my theory.

I'll make J's theory 100% sure, he's spot on. More construction yard will build more stuff not existing stuff faster. The plants will manufacture the components from basic resources faster but they are already faster than a construction yard so having more of them will help only when you've got more construction yards - to avoid any of them waiting for it's respective desired components.

Hey Data, I thought I did a drag and drop on Ship Yards one time and linked two together... at least the 4 construction arm 'disappeared'... I have not tried it since...[:D]
