I've been trying to download the new patch via the auto update feature. So far no luck. I get a Panzer Corps Update(not responding) at the top of the window, then I will get " error: update information for Panzer Corps could not be downloaded" in the text bar. I have always used this feature for my other Matrix games without any problem whatsoever. Since the patch was just released, am I trying too soon?

I too had that problem. But I was able to solve it by reconfiguring my firewall.
But why not downloading directly from http://www.matrixgames.com/products/399/download ?

Thanks for the firewall idea, but when I was prompted by the firewall I said to let the auto update through. Also, my WiTE etc. use that feature without any problem. As to direct download I'll do it that way if I have to, but I guess I'm just stubborn wanting the auto update feature to work.

I finally threw in the towel and downloaded directly.

Yup, I've had no luck either way.  When I try to download directly, keeps stopping at about 10% and says download was interrupted.

mine downloaded fine...although when I try to load a custom scenario it says "incomplete or wrong request"

Why I can not even download the patch directly?

I cannot download the patch via auto update or directly either. FRUSTRATING

We believe this is due to the high volume of people using the Update feature.  We are looking into it, but for now please download the patch and manually install.  Thanks for you patience and cooperation.

Same issue here The autoupdater has failed the last attempts spread over a week or so.

The updater logs seems to have a lot of these errors in them:

[09/24/2011 09:47:56] Error    Script: 501, Line 13 (1013)
[09/24/2011 09:47:56] Error    Script: 501, Line 17 (2822)

Same result if I run the updater as admin.

Will just go ahead and download the patch and manually install. I've had too much fun with this game to get too worked up about this. It would be great though if you could do a little better next update.

I was unable to use the auto updater. After installing the patch from one of the mirror sites, the opening screen still reads "version 1.00." Should that have changed? What else can I check to insure that the patch installed correctly?

The opening screen should say 1.01. In the game options, you should have a new option for window mode.

Can you tell us what was the filename of the mirror file that you download?
It might have happened, that during installation you didn't give the correct path for it.

When I attempted to reinstall the update from a different link, I realized my mistake from the first attempt. When I had seen that the install path contained two Panzer Corps at the end, I thought it was a mistake and changed it to only one. This time I left it as is, and it installed fine.
