Uncle Joe's Surprise - Redux

There's now a "hard" version of my Allies vs. Reds scenario,
Uncle Joe's Surprise, which Tankhead posted today: (
http://www.tankhead.ca/SPWaW/warrior.html)
It's much more difficult than the original version, and while a victory is possible, it's guaranteed to stress and strain your SPWaW talents.

I am in the midst of that one...

I loved (and survived) the surprise!
And, that's all I will say here. Any thing more and it would be like sharing what K-19 Widowmaker is really about to someone that hasn't gone to see it.
It is an excellent and challenging scenario.
I have the Sov's pushed back to the last thre VH's and it seems that they just keep on coming.
Please, suh may have a little more Armour?

Thanks, TimeTanker! I appreciate the comments. Just for my own amusement, I've been tinkering with the scenario with no Allied reinforcements and
less Allied armor. Whew! It's a real scramble, I can tell you.
Today I'm going to start on Part II - same map, but with the Allies trying to push the Reds back from positions taken during the first battle. The human will play the Russians in this one. The Reds will have more and better armor, air, and artillery support and be dug in deep.

Be looking for it in a week or two.

What kind of Sadist are you?

I suppose you would have been a "Training Officer" in your previous lives!
I think one of the things that saved my bacon during the surprise was those "Cute Little" StagHound AA's". Speedy little death machines, eh What?
The map and scenario reinforced one thing for me. And, that was to pay attention to the terrain. Instead of charging around from point A to pont Z without testing for Mud first. That goodness for hard working crews with trenching tools.
I'll be waiting for the sequel...
