Any ideas or data on when and how the German Pz38t Panzer Divisions (7.12.19.20.PzDiv) transitioned from Pz38t to PzIII?

I note that, for example, the Typhoon Scenarios starts with all PzIII in those divisions, although in reality they were still had Pz38t (see Battistelli, Panzer Divisions: Eastern Front 1941-43)
