This is a 3x3 team game which is currently on turn 28.

The turn 24 screenshot gives you a rough idea of where we are at the moment.The Soviet blizzard offensive has pushed the front back a bit here and there but it hasn't broken anywhere yet.
You'll need to be reasonably experienced (ie not a beginner) and a teamplayer, but dedication and reliability are more important than pure ability.
You can play either Army group North or Center, whichever you prefer.

As one of the Soviets in the game, I can say that playing a team game is great fun, a completely different experience from playing solo. It doesnt take much time either. 1/3 of a normal GC turn about once a week.
 
Even though it is blizzard now, things are looking rather bright for the Axis in 42 I would say. We Soviets have taken substantial losses in industry, so I don't think our forces will bee very strong in the summer of 42.
