While we wait...

While we wait for a PC game of the Napoleonic Wars, I would suggest that you guys take a look at the new boardgame from GMT Games - "Mark McLaughlin's The Napoleonic Wars".

So far, this game is great fun, playable by anything from 2-5 players (yes, really), and possible to complete in a single evening. Unless further play turns up some completely unforeseen "bugs", this is set to become the favorite of my local boardgame group - and without a doubt one of the all-time great boardgames.

Hi

I just got a copy at the convention and I must say it is great. This game could win game of the year in the board game realm.

Yeah, i got a copy as well.....Great game, some very minor diplomatic issues to be resolved, but nothing that common sense and good play pals would have trouble with.

For me, best Napoleonic game ever so far!

I've read much of the game on it's topic at Consimworld, I've been on the fence over whether or not to get it. The biggest problem I have is that I'm not sure whether I can find someone to play it with.

Well it can be played very nicely by two players and it is not an incredibly complex game (the rules can be convoluted, but that's due to the writing style).

I'd go for it if your interest is in the Napoleonic Wars. IMO, this is destined to become a classic.
