Demo's Tutorial?

So looking in to buy this game and downloaded the demo....clicked on the tutorial and received a few message boxes of information. The last one talked about left clicking on your units to select. At that point, seemed like I received no more instructions. Is that it for the tutorial? Or am I missing something? I would have expected it to walk me through the whole thing. I am new to this game so was hoping it could guide me.

Any one?

You'll receive more instruction tips while progressing.
It won't walk you through the whole thing, as you expected.
But it's quite easy.
Remember that's a turn based game. So you've a a movement phase and an attack phase.
The attack usually is made when you're in the adjacent hexe of the enemy unit you pretend to attack. This for infantry units like those you controlled in the first tutorial scenario. With artillery units you've different ranges of attack.
When you press the sand clock in the top of the UI, you end your turn.
It's easy to play. You'll see.

Don't worry. This is a game easy to play but hard to master.
Just ask questions in this forum or in the Slitherine forum, and someone will help you out.

Not sure what your personal tastes are in gaming but PC has been loads of fun for me. I think the real fun is in building and nurturing your precious battle group of hardened veterans. I doubt the demo will be able to replicate that part of PC.

The tutorial is not designed to take you step by step through all the actions. Studies have shown that people retain far more information if you let them experiement and prompt them along the way. They are more engaged than a linear "do this, now do that". When engaged retention is higher.

This is why you'll find most tutorials these days use this approach. We certainly try to do this.

In the unofficial (and possibly altered - so take this with a grain of salt) version that I played, I found that the tutorial was very useful - it was an improvement over the original Panzer General and was well implimented.

Just thought to give you some feedback.....
