If Off Map Units Would Hold Position...

I'm trying to place some enemy units off map, around the edges where they can't be seen or attacked during game. The idea is that when the game counter reaches a certain point these units would come off of "passive" stance and become attackers and move onto the map to attack the flanks of my battlegroup. However, it seems that no matter what you set the off map units to, the minute the game starts they move onto the playable area of the map regardless and are no longer in "passive" mode.

It would be nice if you could set them to hold their position on the edge of the map border until triggered to go on the offensive.

EDIT: Arrg, think I found the problem. Never mind... I was saving to the wrong directory so my changes to the stance and triggers were on the wrong scenario. [:o]

Better to script the game to create the units when you want them?

How do you set up a script so that at a certain point the AI produces certain units? I don't see a trigger function for it? [&:]

Place a unit on the map, then open unit properties and click "Trigger" button to configure the condition when the unit will appear.

What happens if I set a condition for a unit to appear on the map and another unit happens to be occupying the spot at the time the condition is met? Will the unit still appear?

In that case the unit will appear as soon as the hex is vacated.
