how the new expansion?

I havent got it yet and wondering how the new expansion coming out? Wanted to hear more about this before purchase it, since already wasted ton of moneys on games and addons that i wasnt happy with.

All I can say is that this expansion is a must-buy. Without it, the game would feel very incomplete after having played a few games with Legends.

If you do not have the game at all yet, I would recommend you watch some of the videos Data referred to in his post. They are well done and give a great idea of the gameplay.
If you do have the game, this expansion is well worth the money!

All I can say is that this expansion is a must-buy. Without it, the game would feel very incomplete after having played a few games with Legends.

Ahhh I could not take it anymore. Just bought distand worlds with all the expansions. Its damn expensive but attleast im supporting an indie development team.

Thank you for a warm welcome WoodMan. I cant say I have much spare time to be an active community member at all times but if I do have some extra time I will be sure to report back what I liked/disliked (hopefully not the latter) about distant worlds.

Guys i have the game and first expansion, wasnt sure if this second pac made much different. Have they made the game much easier to mod or mod friendly? My last mod, well there wasnt alot you can do. Since Data and few others know my skills or what i can do. Been playing skyrim and got suspended for three days on the forum lol. Infact been modding new project for Pacific Storm: Allies, not sure if you guys ever played it. The default PSA wasnt that good at all and lefted out so many good models.
I prob get that expansion next month, just so much going on and little time to play. Did you guys had a good thanksgiving? I did and ended up with a head cold

As said above, this is a must-buy!
- The new character system is excellent
- The new sharp graphics are wonderfuls
- The IA has never been so challenging and "human" than now
- And all the new stuff is huge : new tech, facilities, wonders, event, race particularities, galactic news, etc etc...
Legend is awesome.

Check the AAR forum, "Let's Play" should be near the top and very visible.

Such a hard choice to buy games in todays gaming world. I lost all faith in games when I blew 39 dollars on SOTSII and I still to this day can not enjoy that game at all.
So its difficult for me to even try to buy anything any more. I did enjoy the older Distant worlds have the first expansion.. But still.. Its difficult.

i would join the other guys here and say: go for it and buy it when you like space strategy games.
the best part of DW legends (beside that i could not find any serious bug after hours of playing) is that you can play it the way you like.
i for example started a game in a 200 stars galaxy as human with 8 enemy races which only like humans as their kind of whopper and am fighting for my life since the beginning.
you can have it this way or you can create a 1400 stars galaxy with 11 friendly races and play the pacifists tree hugger way.
you can build a fleet with carriers, fighters, bombers and destroyers or you can go for the big guns and battleships....
the game gives you a realy huge number of opportunities in your hand and will deliver you fun for months.

Well with that system that big, by the time you made contact with another race or two, you will prob already maxed out your tech trees. I love playing that huge system, but time go by too fast before you know it. Its a great game, just need to balance it out alittle.
