Starting to play this again, albeit the original version. Maybe I'll get into the expansions I don't know. But I'm slowly building my own family of space ships.

Here's a sample of my first two ships.

HMmmmm where have I seen that kind of saucer shaped ship before...

It definetly is based on the Star Trek Federetion designs, but since he is not selling them I doubt we have a copyright infringement...
If he likes them he is free to use everything.

These ships would make a really good 'Pre TOS' design. Somewhere between Archer and Kirk.

I acutally like the ships of the Star Trek universe better than I do most other styles. The ST designs are simple and use basic shapes.

Added a capital ship and frigate. Almost finished with the warships.

Finally finished out the main warship types.

I darkened the ships a little. I think the initial ones were a little too bright on the screen. Maybe these look better?

I would say they look a bit better. Are you planning on adding any other details to them?

I think they'd look good with some coloured stripes or insignia somewhere.

I agree that they look way better darkened up. I also agree with Igard that they Could use a little more color or light/dark variation. In general though, they look waaaaay better than anything I have tried to cook up [:D]

Good work with the ships Garry. Iike Igard and Sean wrote, they could be even better with some details. Glowing viewports, markings, maybe colored lines? That kind of things.
Looking forward to seeing how your ships develop.

I really like this shipset. If you release it when finished I think I'll use it in stead of the default human set
