Town & City Layer Order in Map Maker

I'm wanting to draw an urban area with "village" outskirts and a "town" centre, like in image 4, but because of the draw order of the "village" and "town" layers you can't do this as easily as perhaps it should be. Shouldn't the order of "City", "Town" and "Village" urban types be reversed, by default?

The same is true for the two types of woods vs heide - surely heide should be the base layer? Furthermore, "streams" and "minor rivers" draw on top of "major rivers" and "lake". This means you have to be precise with the termination of your minor rivers into major ones, or it looks crap.

Have´nt tried yet, but as I understand the map maker, layer structure within a particular section can be ordered to your liking? I.E change the layers in "Urban" to (top down):

1. Industrial
2. Factory
3. City
4. Town
5. Village

And off course do necessary edits to the BMP´s and reassign layer data. Maybe I´m wrong...

Could well be it´s hard coded then, even when swapping layer data and GFX, the game draws data in fixed order. Any of the modders know? [&:]

I *believe* you could do this, but the effort required would be so much its easier to just deal with how it is now and draw villages around the towns.
