If when the Interface Option - Auto-show info panels is turned on you click on a hex covered by fog of war that contains an invisible enemy unit a blank unit info panel will pop up thus letting you know even though you can't see it and haven't used air recon on the hex that there is an enemy unit there. As an example at the very start of the Grand Campaign playing Germany click on hex 149,83 and you will get a unit info box pop-up.
