Send up a plane to reconnoiter.

When spot a circle you may attack it.

In order to see what it is you need a land unit with in two hexes.
Otherwise use the photo as a guide. I stress you load the photo mod which has a different photo for every size and or level.

Click on Fighter. You will see the circle highlighted with a Red Hex if you can attack it. Must be in range.

Click on Red hex.

You just attacked an airfield.

Photo Mod will allow you to consult your advisers as to which aircraft you are fighting.

Read the combat reports to reveal what you pilots have reported.

In this case they report the squadron of French fighters at strength 3. Your mission shot down one strength point.

Now this is some good info. Do you have anther link to your mods? In the mods section the link you provided pointed to a exe instead of mod.
