Excellent site! Been following his research for years - for obvious reasons! He is a very seasoned and dedicated researcher who won't let any stone be unturned! Still waiting for him to get to the bottom of what paint color the Arizona was painted in DEC 7th. That will be very interesting indeed!!! Excellent information on this site!

I don't understand. The Carrier report is dated June 26, 1942, but if you look at the addressees at the end of the report, the CO of Yorktown is listed. Everyone here knows Yorktown was sunk at Midway on June 7 (but only struck in October). Was this sending of reports to the COs of already sunk ships normal?
