I enjoyed both Talonsoft BoB and Bombing the Reich and am thinking about putting them on my hard drive. I also have the patches for both Talonsoft games.
Question I have is are the MATRIX BoB and Bombing the Reich and their updates/patches an improved game over the old Talonsoft versions? Am I missing something or going to miss something if I don't buy the Matrix version? Or are they currently the same if you apply the latest patches? TIA.

There's several new A/C and a number of bug fixes (getting rid of the "Dover" bug for example was a big one for me.)
I believe Harley has made a few changes to the way the German production system works and the next patch is set to be pretty comprehensive.
Runs on modern OS (XP, Vista, Win 7)
It's the same game engine so not a whole new creature.
I really enjoyed the TS version, thats why I bought this version. I haven't regretted it. But thats my simple opinion.

off the top of my head:
Larger map/planning area
altitude bands for aircraft
weapon paks to allow field upgrades without the need for special production (AC with a pak fitted draw replacements from the standard AC pool)
more waypoint options
recon improvements
more more stats tracked and more stats viewable
I've had a few christmas wines, so that's all the braincells can do right now.
As Dobey says, though, there are some massive improvements in usability and particularly production planning on the way. It's a big leap forward for micromanagers.

Thanks for the prompt feedback. Guess I will buy the Matrix version. And the price is right now due to the Christmas sale.
