Too smart formy owwn good

Just a rhetorical comment. It never fails. The more I play a scenario the worse I do. Just when I figure out where and when my enemy is they fool me and kill all my tanks and infantry in one swell foop. For the record I'm playing the 2nd scenario of "Long road to victory". How is it I have kills 2 and 10:1 and still lose?
I guess this is what makes SP so addictive.
