The contents of the next posts should be seen as an addendum to the stickied list by Joel.
All support units cost 1 AP to create.
Brigade sized combat units cost 5 AP's.
Division-sized combat units cost 10 AP's.
Corps cost:
-5 for cavalry (total cost if you'd create the divisions too: 30+5=35)
-20 for Rifle corps between June 1942 and January 1943 (either 25+20=45 or 30+20=50 if you'd create the divisions/brigade too) and 10 in 1943 and beyond.
-Tank and mechanized corps cost 20 AP's to create (35 AP's including brigades).
Combined arms army HQ's and Tank army HQ's cost 25 AP's. Note that the game pulls a leader from the pool when you create a HQ, so the 25 AP's is without the additional AP costs of assigning a good leader/the leader you want in case the game doesn't select him.
Note that merging brigades into divisions doesn't cost AP's.
I'll post the TOE's and availability dates of support units and corps, as well as some other on-map units.
I guess this would've been much more useful directly post-release, but ah well.
