here's a question...im playing the pacific campaign...it is october 1943 and japan is still kicking A$$ all over the ocean. Im playing the USA...im still strong and im trying to save the aussies at this moment. According to the game i must have sunk over 20 japanese carriers...and somehow or other...more of jap carriers and battleships and cruisers are popping up out of nowhere. I once saved my game and restarted and opened up the japan side and looked at what they had left...what i saw is that they had NO production whatsoever.

A month later into the game...FIVE japanese carriers just suddenly appeared and started bombing everything in sight...

now...is this hardcoded into the game for gameplay or is the AI doing some cheating?

Hard to say exactly, but they might get those carriers trough events.
