Drang Nach Osten (DNO)

I'm ready to give this a try. If you've done one, advice is welcome.
PBEM of course. My thought is three on a side. When life gets in the way teammates can cover turns, so good communication is key.
I'd love one or two who are adept at AAR's to volunteer. Would team leaders willing to organize each side, though I could do Axis. I'd like the teams to cycle through at least 2 turns a week, if that's possible.
Friendly game and good fellowship; some experience preferred but you don't need to be an expert. If you need to drop out, we can probably find a replacement.
If I can get enough interest over the next week, we'll confer on "ground rules" and get it started.
Regards, Kevin

I'd like to have a go.I'm already involved with the Axis Za Rodinu team so I've got some team game experience already.I agree that 3 v 3 is the best setup.I don't mind which side I'm on.

Would love to give it a go, but I'm not sure I'd have the time.
Passable Soviet player, not great Axis player btw

Hello. Don't know if you started a team game already but if not, I would like to be part of it. I have played a pbem GC as the german until 43 and one as the russian until Jan 42. I should be more competent to play the axis but I could be in charge of a soviet front to reflect an incompetent soviet general. [;)]

OK, it looks like this thing may go. We are shooting for a New Year's attack on the east. For now it appears we have six unless somebody drops out. If you are interested in case one of the six can't start, let me know. The players should have received an email with proposed ground rules, etc. Please confirm you've received it.
Fun stuff. K

I hope from your experiences with this scenario that you can provide some feedback on how to make it more balanced--more--the chess match.

Sorry for the tough luck. The match can't get any shorter and still allow both sides to have a go at the other. But this is the time of year when the boss discovers that it's time to move all the paperwork from his inbox...into someone else's...who is probably an avid WITE player now suddenly overwhelmed at the office (your former opponents perhaps). When you have, "Game on!", I would like to hear of your exploits. Good luck!

i think the best way to handle it is to keep reserve players around to jump in when a player doesnt show up. kind of a rotating game

Same objective locations as the stock Barbarossa scenario...except more time to capture them...and more time to hold them.

Sorry - was referring to the enemies "stand and run" strategy, running across the steppe carrying a 50 gallon can of whoopass is no easy task... may have to soak the first few commies i meet in a little extra
