Just pulled the trigger and purchased all 3 DW's today will be going thru the tutorials and come back to pick yer brains.

Welcome! I recommend everything in this here "War Room." You just can't go wrong periodically reading through every thread, to see if there's something that piques your interest.
Also, check out the AARs forum. There's some Let's Plays by Das123 that are like the Rosetta Stone of Distant Worlds.

Blast! Now I'm trying to recall the 60s song that has the guy say "I'm a grubworm", just slips my mind...

There was a song about grubs cool. The name came about from playing rogue spear and America's army where it felt good that a grubwurm can KA and take names hehe. I kept it ever since and use it on most forums and MP games.
