Guys,

Cheerfully playing my 1939 Grand Campaign.

Ran through to turn 49, execute next turn......and.................

Screen says something about playing the demo,

game ends

I get the German turn 50, and as below. I started a custom Grand Campaign and get a demo version, or there is something wrong with my install?

Has anyone played the Grand Campaign past turn 50?

Am I missing something?

I went back to the auto save, and was able to recreate the "end of game" sequence. I am done for tonight.

There is no demo version as fa as I know.
Is it possible that you have already finished Allies and Soviets?

I am not making this up.

In this game, France is about to fall, should be soon, Great Britain is very much alive, and Russia has not been touched. Ran from the autosave, again, and here is another copy of the "victory" screen I get.

Could you please send me a save game?

I went back to an older save, replayed and can now get past this.

Here is a zip of the saved folder from turn 49. Just run through, and see if it arises again. I tried once again just now, and did not have a problem.

As this happened three times last night and once this morning, and only cleared when I jumped way back in the turn sequence, I might speculate:

A. Corrupted save
B. One the the event scripts has a problem. You might try doing a text search on "demo" in your event scripts, and see if this points you to anything?
C. God just trying to mess with me.[:)]

I will run this game for another 50 turns and see what develops.

Yes, strange.

If it is an event, it is probably around the creation of Vichy/collapse of France. These scripts can be bears to debug, as it could be a low probability trigger, that no one else will see for a month or two, then it appears again out of the mist.

Did you guys do a demo in your other releases, ToW or SoP? Could there be a nugget of code that got missed?

Indeed, we do have demos for previous releases, but this was hardcoded.
