Guess there's not much HR's with a scenario, except sweeps/cap at 1 alt band above the aircraft's best maneuver band.  No "20 man commando invasions to determine full strength", only invade dot/base hex. Send a pm for email. and Good Luck!

Sorry to intrude, but I'm curious, what do you mean by the "sweeps/cap at 1 alt band above ..." as a house rule? That CAP or Sweep missions MUST be set at that (ie, Wildcats have 20 MVR up to 15K iirc, so they HAVE to be set at 20k?) Or is the rule they can't be. And why, is that an exploit?

It is an exploit. The higher you set your sweep the better the fighters perform - a regrettable consequence of the air combat model.

So yes, you'd only be able to put the Wildcat up to 20,000 feet for sweep/CAP.

If you want to play with HouseRules, then clearly and in detail explain them, so I can everything understand

CT, the exploit doesn't have anything to do with game mechanics. When TheElf was talking about exploits with sweeps, he was referring to people setting altitude to max knowing damn well that during ww2, air combats never took place at 30k+, especially in the Pacific.

Edward, would you like to pick up where we left off?
